From the rise of the Melaka Sultanate and the thriving ancient spice trade, a distinctive community carves its destiny.

Descendants of Indian merchants, the Melaka Chetti community is characterized by intermarriages, cultural assimilation and unique Hindu practices which are deeply woven into the fabric of our history.

During the tour, you will be briefed on the history of the Melaka Chetti community, interact with our master craftsman and village elders, understand various aspects of our cultural practices, view treasured antiquities and community temples. Options are also available for visitors to enjoy a typical Melaka Chetti fare.
